Sunday 18th November

This sunday we begin the home run towards the end of Ezra. We are looking at Ezra chapter 8 as part of our service.

After our service we will also have a short church members meeting to discuss our Home Mission Grant from the Baptist Union.

Sunday 21st October

This sunday we return to Ezra after a couple of weeks off. We come to look at chapter 5 and how God’s soveriegn hand is over everything. We begin to unpack how God’s sovereignty can coexist with the reality of suffering and difficulty in the world.

A trail of coppers …

coppers-small.jpgLast Sunday (23rd September) as a church we held our annual harvest service. We were using the Operation Agri material which looked at India. Our youth club leaders came up the idea of collecting as many 1p’s and 2p’s as possible and making a trail of coppers around the church to raise money for India and to raise the teenagers awareness of the difficult situation that some people live in in India. Youth club members attended the church service with their parents and helped lay the trail of coppers. We managed to lay a trail of coppers just under 110metres long – starting upstairs in the church at our youth lounge, down a flight of stairs, through our church hall, through one of our offices, into the sanctuary and once around the sanctuary. From the generosity of church members and parents of the teenagers we managed to raise in the copper trail just over £76 in 1p’s and 2p’s. A big thanks to all who took part and contributed to the copper trail!! This money will be sent to Operation Agri for their India appeal.
