Who We Are

We are a bunch of people of all-ages from all over Southport who have faith in Jesus Christ.  As a church we meet regularly for worship and to support one another and our community.

Our main celebration together is on a Sunday morning starting at 10:00am.  Tea and coffee is available when you arrive to help you feel at home and you can relax in our cafe area.  There are groups tailored to young and not-so-young people and we try to make sure that everyone is welcome, so just come as you are.

We occasionally meet in the evenings for a time of prayer and reflection, starting at 6:30pm.  Please check the calendar or get in touch with us for further details.

As a church we are on a journey of transition, exploring where God is leading us and who He is calling us to be.  To help us in this we have identified five values, detailed below, based on Romans 12.

Celebrate
Romans 12:1
We desire to be a vibrant church that seeks to celebrate through worship who God is and all he has done through his son Jesus Christ and his presence through his Holy Spirit. We recognise that we are dependent on his freely given gifts of love and grace.
Contemplate
Romans 12:2-3
We desire to be a church that seeks to contemplate through prayer and inquiry who God is and how he relates to the issues that affect each of our lives. Using the Christian Bible as a base for our understanding we will be equipped to live out our faith more effectively.
Collaborate
Romans 12:4-5
We desire to be a church that seeks to collaborate with others by being open and welcoming, embracing everyone. Through participation and joining together we recognise that we are united in Jesus Christ, giving us strength and solidarity as one family.
Communicate
Romans 12:6-8
We desire to be a church that seeks to communicate through understandable and appropriate methods who we believe God is. By reaching out to others we show that our Christian faith is open and relevant to the world today.
Compassionate
Romans 12:9-21
We desire to be a church that is compassionate towards the needs of others, showing the love of God in practical ways and offering spiritual support through listening and prayer. By sharing life together we are better able to support each other, our community and the wider world.
